Fishing with LED Underwater Lights   Underwater Fish Attracting Lights The benefit of light as an attraction to fish has been known to mankind since our earliest days. However, it is only in recent years that we have been able to understand more as to the how and why of what makes light such an effective fish attractor. As children, many of us will have used a flashlight to attract that monster from the deep as dusk, and our worried parents, fell upon us.
It is now well established that the wavelengths associated with Blue and Green light appear beneficial to attracting fish and improving fish catch rate. Even more recently, the effects of underwater strobe lights have been proven by sports fishermen to attract the specimens to which they aspire. The Fishermen’s Jury does not yet know precisely why, with many theories put forward as to whether the strobe lighting represents the flashing sides of baitfish, phytoplankton even further down the food train or other physiological trait.
With this in mind we built strobing fish attraction lights into the Lumishore product ranges.
The Drivelite Color-Change Plus and the Thru-Hull Color-Change Plus models all have this built in capability.
We have 4 fish attraction modes built into each model, each of which is controllable in terms of strobe intervals: -
• Blue - Interval Flash
• Blue - Random Flash
• Green - Interval Flash
• Green – Random Flash
This gives the dedicated fisherman an infinite number of flash options to outfox his quarry.
